Melissa Ruiz is Acevedo Family Law’s lead paralegal. With over seven ( 7) years of experience working in the legal field, Ms. Ruiz has the compassion and legal experience to assist in guiding clients through the tough legal process of Family Law issues. Having dealt with past domestic violence and having to navigate through her own DV case, Ms. Ruiz is passionate about assisting other domestic violence victims get through their cases. Ms. Ruiz is fluent in English and Spanish, is well versed in the San Diego County and Los Angeles County filing and calendaring system and has developed a keen skill for attention to detail. Ms. Ruiz is a mother of two, enjoys cooking and creating art on her spare time.
